Oh Darling Mother

Oh Darling Mother, Dear dying Mother

You wished me to stay and to win

But I’d give up the fame and the fortune Dear Mother

For a look from your dear eyes before they grow dim.

In the great Game of Life let us play though our heart aches

Let us each do our part then the victory will win

Then we’ll meet over yonder where the playing is finished

Where the games are all won and eyes never grow dim.
