My Friend

I have a friend that’s a real true friend

And you can’t find everywhere

He’s the same true friend thru thick and thin

This kind of friend is rare.

When a man grows old and his hair turns gray

And his eyes no longer shine

It’s a comfort to know when you leave this world

That you have a friend like mine.

When I leave this world of trouble and trial

If I get to heaven by chance

I hope to meet on that beautiful isle

My lifelong friend Romance!
