Crane Pond Roared
This site name is derived from the name of a creek that flows (and sometimes roars) through what used to be the small town of Minimum in the southern part of Iron County, Missouri. Many of the individuals included herein lived 'on' Crane Pond Creek as well as two of its principal contributaries Sulphur Creek and Brushy Creek in the early part of the 20th century. Iron County Place Names, 1928-1945
